Mearns Academy has the support of a dedicated Employer School Coordinator employed by DYW North East
Employer School Coordinators provide each secondary school in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire with on-the-ground support to develop strong and sustainable industry partnerships with the aim of providing every young person with the best chance to reach their potential in whatever career they decide to follow by providing opportunities to engage with employers.

“The Options & Homeless Team are part of the Housing & Building Standards Service. We sit within the Environment & Infrastructure services directorate of Aberdeenshire Council. We are responsible for the maintenance of the housing waiting list, allocating vacant properties and providing advice on housing options. We provide a service to anyone who is homeless or threatened with homelessness – trying to prevent it from occurring and providing temporary accommodation and support where it can’t be.”
