Welcome to Mearns Academy

Mearns Academy is a welcoming school that offers a wide range of subjects and courses for students of all abilities. Located in Laurencekirk, our school is connected to primary schools in seven nearby villages. Our student body has grown in recent years, and we now have around 680 students.

The area is well-known for being featured in the Lewis Grassic Gibbon trilogy, A Scots Quair, with the famous book Sunset Song being part of this series.
